Flexzilla Garden Hose, 5/8 in. x 50 ft.: what the specs and the video reviews say
The Flexzilla is the bright green hose you have probably seen in a neighbor's yard. Here is what the manufacturer claims, what independent reviewers show on camera, and the complaints worth knowing before you buy.
Why this hose is on our list
On October 8, 2026, this exact model sat at number 2 on Amazon's Best Sellers list for garden hoses and inside the top 20 for the whole Patio, Lawn & Garden department. Rankings move every day, so treat that as a snapshot. It tells you the hose is widely bought. It does not tell you the hose is right for your yard.

What the maker claims
Legacy Manufacturing says the hybrid polymer stays flexible in all weather, lays flat without "memory," coils easily, and weighs less than a traditional rubber hose. It also says the outer cover resists abrasion and the aluminum fittings resist crushing. These are marketing claims. The videos below are the place to see how they hold up in someone's actual yard.

Reported strengths and drawbacks
What reviewers tend to praise
- Light to carry and easy to pull around corners.
- Stays flexible and coils without a fight.
- Metal fittings instead of plastic.
Complaints worth knowing
- It can still kink at a sharp bend. "No-kink" is not absolute.
- Some long-term owners report fittings failing after years of use.
- Some buyers report mold or discoloration inside the hose when water sits in it for months.
Who it suits, and who should skip it
A reasonable fit if you want a general yard hose that is easy to drag and store, you water by hand, and 50 ft. reaches your beds from the spigot.
Look elsewhere if you need a hose certified for drinking water (check the label on the exact model you buy before filling a pet bowl or a kiddie pool), if you plan to leave it pressurized in full sun all summer, or if you need more than 100 ft. in one run.
Before you order
- Measure from the spigot to the farthest bed, then add a few feet. A hose that is too long is heavier and harder to store.
- Drain it after use and store it out of direct sun. That addresses the most common long-term complaints.
- Check the price and return terms on the retailer's page at the time you buy. We do not list prices here because they change.
